Business Development Committee


The mission of the Chamber's Business Development Committee is to promote and inspire business vitality in the region by identifying opportunities and obstacles, and then connecting people to relevant solutions.

The committee meets at 10:30 a.m. the third Wednesday of every month in the International Office Suites, One New Hampshire Ave. (at the Pease International Tradeport--blue roof) Suite 125, Sydney Conference Room.

Current Projects

The following are just a few of the programs managed by the Business Development Committee and our volunteer members.

  • Business Education Seminars - Development of educational seminars & workshops designed to respond to the needs of our business members reflected in a recent membership survey. Recent seminar topics include Social Media, Branding, and Small Business Issues.

  • Mid-Day Meets - A networking event providing members the opportunity to promote their business and connect with other members. For more information on Mid Day Meets, click here.

  • "Seacoast Business Connections" Radio Program - In the fall of 2008, volunteers from the BDC, in partnership with Portsmouth Community Radio (WSCA LPFM 106.1), started a weekly program aimed at connecting the community to timely business issues and topics.  The program is aired from noon to 1 p.m. every Monday.  Topics explored recently by show hosts include commercial real estate development, the eCoast, globalization, business development, workplace wellness, tourism, and educational resources available to Seacoast businesses.

  • Business & Member Interest Profiles - Providing opportunities for local small businesses to do business with larger businesses, encouraging local purchasing and economic growth. To complete your business profile, visit Member Login.
