The Chamber offers a wide range of resources to "connect" members to potential clients, partners and promotional resources.  Following are just of few of those resources available to members. 

Banquet and Conference Planner

The Banquet and Conference Planner is a complete listing of member banquet and conference facilities, and those businesses that typically provide auxiliary services for banquets, conferences, weddings and other special functions.

Business Card and Member Marketing Material Display

The Chamber maintains this complimentary service for members who wish to take advantage of our heavy visitor traffic in the Information Center on Market Street and the Kiosk in Market Square. More than 14,000 visitors pass through our doors every month during summer and fall seasons. Business Counseling

Members may receive business advice and counseling from the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the Small Business Association (SBA) and the City of Portsmouth Economic Development Office at no cost. The Chamber regularly directs members to agencies that can help meet their specialized needs. Chamber Web Site - www.portsmouthchamber.org

The Chamber maintains a comprehensive website featuring information on tourism and relocation, a search-engine-style membership directory page, chamber publications and news, and other resources. The website receives about 500,000 to more than 1 million hits per month.  Our database software allows businesses to track business referrals and to even create their own "home page away from home" (within the Chamber's website) when a web link is purchased. Conference Room Use

Members are welcome to use our boardroom at no charge.  The room accommodates approximately 20-25 people. Free use of a laptop computer and LCD projector may be made available with advance reservation. The room is available to members from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Constant Contact Discounts

Chamber can save money on their email marketing through our partnership with Constant Contact. Even existing Constant Contact users can receive exclusive prepay discounts of up to 25 percent just for being a Chamber member. Existing Constant Contact users may take advantage of this offer by sending an email to businesspartner@constantcontact.com. Just provide your Contact Contact username, and request to be associated with the Portsmouth Chamber program. The Constant Contact team will take care of the rest! Connections Newsletter

Connections is the Chamber's newsletter which is mailed monthly to nearly 1,500 members and community leaders.  It also provides a vehicle for members to promote their businesses through flyers and free placement of member news briefs (movers and shakers section). Guide to the Seacoast

More than 110,000 visitors receive our popular tourist guide published each spring. It features complimentary listings of tourism-related member businesses, a calendar of events, a tide chart, profiles on the communities we serve, a downtown map and information on historic sites and attractions. The fall season is when the next season's guide goes into production. Lodging Assistance Board

This is a special display area for our hotel, motel, and bed & breakfast members. For a nominal annual fee, our accommodations members can maintain a presence in our 25-section display area that features a phone with one-touch direct dialing to participating properties. Many of our visitors, which number more than 14,000 per month during the summer, make good use of the Lodging Assistance Board. Member Database

Labels or an electronic copy of our membership list connects you with a core of over 1,000 members. To purchase the membership database, or for more information, please contact our Marketing Coordinator, at (603) 610-5520 or marketing@portsmouthchamber.org.
 
Member-to-Member Discounts

To help promote business to other member companies, we created a Member-to-Member Discount program that allows members to offer discounts on products and services to fellow members.  This is a great way to gain exposure for your business and entice new customers to frequent your business.  Click here to see member-to-member discounts that are currently available. Member Orientation

Mid-Day Meets

The Mid-Day Meet is an informal lunchtime networking opportunity. If you're in the market to build your business, then join us for an innovative networking forum that encourages interaction between business members of the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce. Developed by the Business Development Committee, the Mid-Day Meets take place on the first Monday of the month at The Page in downtown Portsmouth and the third Friday of the each month at One New Hampshire Ave., third floor at the Pease International Tradeport.  The program is a free benefit of your Chamber membership. Take advantage of this opportunity to network and exchange referrals, products and services. Referrals


The Chamber's referral activities put your company in front of thousands of potential customers each year. Our information center at 500 Market Street accommodates hundreds of business and tourism inquiries each day via walk-ins, phone and email. And our Market Square Information Kiosk assists hundred of visitors during the months of May through October.

Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening Assistance


The Chamber regularly assists new businesses with ribbon cutting ceremonies and helps organize media coverage and invitations. As part of this service the Chamber may provide a ribbon cutting agenda, press contact information, ribbon cutting ceremony to do list, day of ribbon cutting outline and Chamber officials which may include members of the staff, board of directors and Ambassadors. New Member Referral Credit

In order to promote the growth and diversity of the membership base the Chamber provides financial incentives to current members who refer individuals and companies for membership, and who subsequently become members. For each new member referred, the current member shall receive a fee of 10 percent of the new members' annual membership dues as calculated on the Membership Application Form.  Payment of the referral fee is made as a credit adjustment to the current member's account with the Chamber.
