| Opening July 2 and continuing through Sept. 3, this exhibit tells the story of Whaleback Lighthouse in Kittery, Maine, established in 1830 at the mouth of the Piscataqua River as one of the first successful wave-swept lighthouses in the United States. Whaleback's history will be told along with stories of life at the lighthouse, as well as the present-day efforts to restore the tower and make it accessible to the public. |
