Alnoba Announces New President: Natasha Harrison
Alnoba announces that Natasha Harrison will join them as the new president starting May 1. She is a strong leader, who deeply appreciates her role to strengthen and protect our social mission, community and the land. Alnoba’s four pillars of work in Leadership Development; Conservation and Sustainability; Wellness and The Arts resonates with Natasha on both a personal and professional level. She is a practical operator with a proven record of developing, executing and measuring programs. She is also an artist and understands its magic and power.
Natasha currently serves as executive director of the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown, R.I. In her 12-year tenure, she turned the organization around; doubled its budget; balanced growth with carrying capacity of the property; and engaged a strong caring community in their work. Perhaps, she is most proud of what she calls, ‘the unstoppable team of loyal and committed staff’ she assembled and mentored.
Prior to the Sanctuary, Natasha founded a non-profit arts organization called Island Arts in Newport, R.I. For 16 years she and her partner took it from a startup to a world-class exhibition gallery and community art center.
