    Annual All-You-Can-Eat Pizza-Tasting
    Event Benefits Children’s Museum
(Dover, NH / October 19, 2017) – On Saturday, November 4, pizza aficionados of all ages can cast their votes for best regional pizza restaurants at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire’s 9th annual PizzaFest and Online Auction. The event, which is sponsored by D.F. Richard with additional support from Smuttynose Brewing Company, will be held from 5-7pm at the Children’s Museum of NH in Dover, and all proceeds benefit the museum’s innovative educational and outreach programs.

PizzaFest attendees will be able to sample a wide variety of pizzas from local purveyors, then vote for their favorites. Seacoast area restaurants will be serving up both cheese and specialty pizzas for guests to sample and judge in the categories of Kids’ Choice Cheese and Grown-Ups’ Choice.  A judging panel will crown the Judges’ Pick for Best Pizza, Best Crust and Most Creative Toppings. Three Sisters Cake Shop owner/decorator Katie Morris, The Kitchen Restaurant Group owner/chef Michael Prete, and Louie’s sous chef Marty Rumley are this year’s three PizzaFest judges.

This year’s event will have a special guest MC: 98.7 The Bay’s Roy Sullivan!

Seven restaurants have already confirmed participation: Ember’s Bakery, Kendall Pond Pizza II, La Festa Brick, Brew Pizzeria, Papa Jay’s Pizzeria, Strafford House of Pizza, and Terra Cotta Pasta Company.

This year’s Online Auction, which launches Sunday, October 22, offers dozens of great gift ideas for family, friends, business associates and more. Items up for bid include park passes, original art, memberships to local institutions, tickets to area attractions, and popular regional restaurant gift certificates. The online auction is open for bidding at 9am on Sunday, October 22 and closes at 9pm on Saturday, November 5. Visit www.biddingforgood.com/CMNHPizzafest to learn more or to bid!

In addition to the pizza-tasting and auction, there will be beer available for purchase from Smuttynose Brewing Company, non-alcoholic drinks for sale, activities for children and an art gallery exhibition for all to enjoy. This event is family friendly but adults on their own are also welcome.
