Chamber Collaborative Makes Donation to Arts in Reach
PORTSMOUTH (December 19th) – The Chamber Collaborative announced on December 14th
at the Aurora Affair Presented by Exeter Hospital that a donation would be made to Arts In Reach (A.I.R.), a local nonprofit that provides teenage girls with educational programs in the arts. The $500 donation came from a portion of the proceeds from the Chamber’s Borealis Bound Raffle.
The Raffle is an annual holiday fundraiser for the Chamber Collaborative. Each year, the Collaborative selects a local nonprofit to receive a portion of the proceeds. This year, the Collaborative selected Arts In Reach.
“Arts in Reach is so thrilled to be selected as the beneficiary of the Chamber Collaborative’s holiday raffle,” states Mary-Jo Monusky, Executive Director of Arts In Reach. “Our after-school and vacation art programs are offered free to participants to ensure that arts programming is accessible to everyone.”
Celebrating 20 years of life-changing programs, A.I.R. is a nonprofit organization that empowers teenage girls and sparks their creative interests through performance, literary, and visual arts programming.
A.I.R. provides free
after-school, vacation, and summer arts programming for teen girls in the Greater Seacoast. A.I.R.’s goal is to help teens develop confidence and gain key life skills such as collaboration, goal-setting, leadership, and communication, while discovering new and creative means of self-expression.
“The Chamber Collaborative is excited to give back to this excellent program,” said Valerie Rochon, President & Chief Collaborator of the Chamber Collaborative. “The arts are an excellent form of self-expression and it is programs such as A.I.R. that are the foundation for the empowerment and future success of young women in the area.”
