June 28, 2017 – Rochester NH – The Board of Directors of the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) has elected Denis Gagne, VP of Wholesale at Eastern Propane and Oil, as the organization’s National Treasurer. Gagne has served in a variety of leadership positions within the organization, including the Executive Committee, Propane Supply and Logistics Committee, and the Technology Standards & Safety Committee. In his role as Treasurer, Gagne will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s budget and finances.
Gagne is a 50-year veteran of the propane industry, with experience in almost every facet of the business. In addition to his role as Vice President of Wholesale, he leads Eastern Propane’s Business Development Team and is an active member of the Propane Gas Association of New England.
Gagne joins a distinguished slate of national officers. NPGA elevated Jerry Brick (North Star Energy, Aberdeen, SD) to the position of Chairman of the Board; Chris Earhart (Dixie Gas & Oil Corp., Verona, VA) was elected as Chairman Elect; and Randy Thompson (ThompsonGas, Frederick, MD) was elected Vice Chairman. Each officer will serve a one-year term in their positions, and Stuart Weidie (Blossman Gas, Asheville, NC) became Immediate Past Chairman.
Rick Roldan, NPGA’s President and CEO, said, “Propane is clean American energy that supports local economies and fuels our modern way of life. Each one of these officers knows what it takes to grow a business, and they have been advocating for policies to help propane marketers across the country for decades. As the Association continues its strategic planning process, their combined experience will benefit all NPGA members and help the association continue to advocate for the policies that advance propane in our communities.”
The National Propane Gas Association is the national trade association of the propane industry. NPGA represents approximately 2,800 companies, including producers, wholesalers, transporters, and retailers of propane gas, as well as the manufacturers and distributors of associated propane equipment and appliances. 50 million Americans choose propane as their energy source.
