When a loved pet goes missing, it can be easy to give up hope. A new children's book, "How Chubby the Cat Was Found, A True Story," by Denise Brown of Ad-cetera  Graphics shows how hope can come into play. You can find the book in Seacoast shops or visit www.chubbythecat.com for information. Keep your eyes out for a blog about what to do if a pet goes missing.

Brown's unique book is about a cat lost four weeks in February. The mission of the story is to never give up hope and to do everything possible to find your beloved pet.

The book relates to people who love animals, have owned animals, or have lost a pet. It tells what steps Chubby's owner, Karen Howe, took and what to do when a pet is missing.

The book's mission may help to save pets’ lives and reunite them with their families. “That’s why we want other people to read and share Chubby’s story,” said Howe, “We don’t want anyone else to go through this if we can be of some help to other people with missing pets.”
