I Am My Own Wife returns to the WEST stage

Back by popular demand, New Hampshire Theatre Project is proud to reprise I Am My Own Wife, the extraordinary one-man show starring CJ Lewis.  Winner of a special 2015 Spotlight Award for Excellence in Theatre, I Am My Own Wife explores the astonishing true story of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, a transvestite and celebrated antiques dealer who successfully navigated the two most oppressive regimes of the past century – the Nazis and the Communists.  Versatile actor CJ Lewis plays 40 different roles in the production hailed by Spotlight reviewer Jeanne’ McCartin as “Sublime… everything about this production is impeccable.  A riveting tale performed by an exceptional actor.”  Directed by Genevieve Aichele, assisted by Robin Fowler.  Set design is by Cary Wendell, lighting design by Meghann Beauchamp, costume design by Maura Suter, and sound design by Rachel Neubauer.

I Am My Own Wife plays for six performances only.  If you missed it the first time around, or want to catch it again, get your tickets early!
