    Kids Consignment Sale Outgrows Space

    Looks for New Home

(Dover NH/ April 6, 2017) –The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire’s Semi-Annual Kids Consignment Sale, taking place this weekend, has outgrown its 8,000 square foot space at the Hellenic Center and is looking for a new home.

“This sale continues to grow every time we do it, and while the Hellenic Center has been wonderful, we are just busting at the seams and would love to move the sale to someplace larger,” shared Joy Mueller, the CMNH Consignment Sale Manager. The Fall 2016 Sale featured over 23,000 items by just 65 consignors. “We have to turn away consignors because we just don’t have the room to offer more merchandise. Ideally we’d love someplace closer to 12,000 square feet with ample parking. Since this entire endeavor is a fundraiser for the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire, we’re looking for someplace that’s willing to work with us on price and availability.”

The sale serves many local families looking for bargains on gently used, pre-owned clothing, toys, baby equipment and more. “Consignors who participate keep up to 60% of their sales and the rest is donated to the museum, so this event really helps serve a variety of audiences!” said Joy.

The spring sale is scheduled for Saturday, April 8, 9am-3pm and Sunday, April 9, 10am-1pm this gigantic children's clothing and gear sale will be held at the Hellenic Center, 219 Long Hill Road in Dover, NH.

“The sales will continue happening every 6 months at the Hellenic Center,” shared Joy. “But we’d love to keep growing and will continue to look for something larger to accommodate this popular event.” If a business or organization would like to discuss the use of their space for the sale with the museum, please reach out to Joy Mueller at joy@childrens-museum.org.

This is a fundraiser that will benefit the Children’s Museum of NH and its education and outreach programs, as well as local consigning families. Please note that the consignment sale is not held at the Children’s Museum, and that parents are strongly encouraged to leave their children at home during this event, due to the large crowds.
