LEADERSHIP SEACOAST CELEBRATES GRADUATION
Class of 2017 Donates $1,250 Back to Nonprofit
PORTSMOUTH, New Hampshire, June 20, 2017 - Leadership Seacoast, an organization committed to developing informed and active community leaders, recently commemorated the Class of 2017 with a reception held at Atlantic Grill in Rye, the event was sponsored by Liberty Mutual. During the reception, the 39-member graduating class surprised the Leadership Seacoast board of directors by presenting a class gift of $1,250 to be donated back to the program. The money will be used to fund future scholarships for potential applicants.
“The financial support and generosity of this year’s graduating class is truly inspiring,” said Jennifer Wheeler, Executive Director of Leadership Seacoast. “It is this kind of support, from our alumni and the business community that has allowed our program to remain successful for nearly thirty years.”
Annually, Leadership Seacoast recruits a diverse group of existing and aspiring community leaders from all sectors of the region. The greater variety of experience, skills, professions, ages, interest and geographic perspectives, the richer the experience for all participants. Recruitment for the Class of 2018 will begin in September and applications are accepted throughout the year.
