Magic, Party Hats, and Cupcakes for the Grown-ups
Dover, NH (April 16, 2018) – Raise your hand if you celebrate your grown-up birthdays like you did when you were a kid? No, right? And that’s a shame! But this Thursday, April 19 from 7 to 9pm, you can have all that old-school birthday fun at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire’s Grown-up Play Date: Way Back Birthday Bash!
These play dates happen just once a month and are for adults 21+. Grown-ups can explore the museum’s funky exhibits, enjoy arts and crafts, experiments, contests and competitions, specialty drinks and snacks, with new themes each month.
This month, grown-ups can decorate birthday crowns, enjoy a magic show by local magician Magic Fred, play musical chairs, compete in a scavenger hunt and even learn how to decorate cupcakes like the professionals with Three Sisters Cake Shop. All this plus cocktails and beer from a cash bar provided by 7th Settlement Brewery.
The Grown-up Play Dates are part of a monthly series. Pull out the tux for the May 17th “80s Prom” night. June 14th will be a “Kick-off To Summer Party” complete with tie-dye, and sandcastle contests.
Guests must have a valid ID to attend. Tickets are on sale online through 5pm on April 19th for $10 and are $12 at the door. Visit www.childrens-museum.org to learn more or to purchase tickets.
