Make-A-Wish NH Kids Spread Kindness, Show Appreciation at Northeast Credit Union

Portsmouth, N.H. – “Delighted” doesn’t begin to convey the feeling Northeast Credit Union (NECU) employees feel about a recent visit from two “Wish Kids”, an occasion which the credit union looks forward to each year. The children and their families arrived Wednesday bearing sweet treats for staff and members to enjoy, a generous offering to show their gratitude for the annual fundraising by New Hampshire Credit Unions which helps support the Make-A-Wish NH program.

“We are incredibly fortunate for the opportunity to meet these remarkable children, and are inspired by the strength of all Wish Kids and their families,” states Tim Collia, Northeast Credit Union President and CEO. “We want to thank our members for your kindness and generosity, as your support has blessed these families with precious memories together.”

At least 19 Wish Kids participated in the Sweet Thank You Visits, delivering baked goods to 12 credit unions throughout New Hampshire. The New Hampshire Credit Union League established a partnership with Make-A-Wish NH in 1997, and the league’s Social Responsibility Committee has organized various fundraisers for the organization over the years. To date, the joint effort of New Hampshire credit unions have raised over $2.5 million for Make-A-Wish NH.
