Amherst, N.H. –
LaBelle Winery announces the opening of a new tasting room, wine and gift shop, gallery and event space at 104 Congress St. in Portsmouth, N.H. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Oct. 20 celebrating the location’s grand opening.
The space, which boasts a beautiful brick storefront and bow windows, is located in the historic Kearsarge Building, a 19th century landmark built in 1820, in the heart of the city’s Market Square, and is neighbor to The Music Hall and Runner’s Alley.
Amy LaBelle, the winery’s co-owner and winemaker, says, “Portsmouth is such a special place, and I couldn’t be more excited to open our new tasting room right in Market Square. We are the first winery presence in historic Portsmouth and look forward to sharing our award-winning wines with residents of this vibrant community and visitors to the Seacoast region.”
The shop features LaBelle’s award-winning wines, The Winemaker’s Kitchen culinary line of products (house-made jams and jellies; culinary wines; vineyard honey; oils and vinegars; seasoning and brining blends; and an exclusive coffee and tea blend); unique kitchen and culinary tools; wine accessories; cookbooks; and New Hampshire-made fine chocolates. Among the shop’s unique and useful gifts are beautiful low-profile coat racks, centerpiece candleholders and wine glass holders handcrafted from repurposed wine barrel staves used in LaBelle Winery’s production.
Programs currently scheduled for LaBelle Portsmouth include “Tipsy Tile Mosaics” and “Alice’s Table,” a flower arranging class. “Taste and Create Painting Classes” with The Canvas Roadshow will also be held in Portsmouth, along with art talks, corporate team building activities and private social events, including showers and birthday parties, and business events.
More information about classes and programs can be found on LaBelle Winery’s website, LaBelleWineryNH.com
Two private wine tasting events, held on Oct. 6 and Oct. 20, will be hosted by winemaker Amy LaBelle and her husband, LaBelle’s Winery’s cellar master Cesar Arboleda. The cost is $30 and limited space is available. To register for one of these tastings visit bit.ly/labellewinetasting
