Hampton municipal parking lot may be used for Oktoberfest event parking.

The beer lineup for the 401 Tavern Oktoberfest is going to be exclusively provided by the Neighborhood Beer Co. Your thirst will be quenched by delicious German beers such as  the Nodding Apparition, a German style IPA brewed exclusively for The 401 Tavern, the Granite Acorn, an Oktoberfest style beer, Boss Flamingo bronze ale and Junkyard Pedigree copper ale. Traditional German fare will be available for purchase at our two 401 food stands in the parking lot. Our menu features soft pretzels, Midwestern style beer brats, German burgers, chicken schnitzel sandwiches, German potato salad, spatzle, red cabbage slaw, sauerkraut and apple strudel. If German food is not to your taste, the 401 will also be featuring all-American cheeseburgers, hot dogs, lobster rolls, seafood chowder and homemade brownies. For full menu and pricing stop by The 401 Tavern and grab an Oktoberfest flyer.

Entertainment during the festivities will be provided by The Old Bastards Band who will kick off the party with old time favorites at 1pm. The Old Bastards is a classic rock and roll Seacoast band who came into life in 2009 drawing from the members shared love of music and fun times. Cover band for the Old Bastards will be Party Time DJ, a Southern New Hampshire premier full service Disc Jockey and Entertainment that has serviced the seacoast area for decades.

Although Oktoberfest is mainly perceived as a beer festival, parents can make an Oktoberfest Family Day out of it. While parents enjoy themselves with music, German beer and Bavarian dishes, children can participate in different activities such as face paint, stein/mug painting, bobbing for apples, use the basketball hoop or play the bean bag in the Kids Zone designated area. Cotton candy, popcorn and an ice cream stand will keep your kids busy for a while.

The 401 Tavern this year will have a petting zoo provided by Wild Life Encounters Co. A veritable ark of exotic animals is coming to Oktoberfest. Petting zoo will include a wallaby, an alligator, a big snake, tropical birds and many more. Guests of all ages are encouraged to see, touch and feed the exotic and domestic animals in this hands-on exhibit.

The 401 Tavern encourages patrons to dress up in German attire. An Oktoberfest-themed photo booth is going to be set up for family and friends to take pictures. Tag your pictures on facebook with #401tavernoktoberfest for a chance to win prizes.

Raffle tickets will be sold during the event with all benefits going to the American Legion Post #35, supporting the Wounded Warrior Project, scholarships for the Winnacunnet High School Seniors, Run for the Fallen NH, donations to Boy Scout Troop 177 and Healy’s Heroes.  Among the grand prizes there is going to be one foursome at the Exeter Country Club, one foursome at Breakfast Hill Golf Course, tickets to a Hampton Beach Ballroom Casino concert, Red Sox tickets, Patriots tickets, a hybrid bike, a yeti cooler, an Adirondack chair and gift certificates from local restaurants. Lots of other prizes will be raffled throughout the day.
