Wee Ones Wednesdays is an interactive weekly drop-in program at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire for children ages 2-4. These classes, which have been designed as a PRE pre-school program, invite children and a parent or caregiver to gather and enjoy art, music, movement and conceptual learning with a new theme each week.
Xanthi Gray, the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire’s Education Director says, “One of the most rewarding aspects of Wee Ones is watching the children gain confidence in themselves in this type of preschool setting. They begin to develop skills that will guide them through their lives such as successfully participating and interacting with peers, and taking direction to find the self-confidence to be successful little people. It is truly my favorite and most rewarding part of my job!”
Wee Ones Wednesdays are drop-in classes and are offered most Wednesdays throughout the school year from 9:45-10:30am and 10:45-11:30am. Classes are usually suspended during summer holidays or vacation weeks. The cost per adult/child pair is $7 for Museum members and $10 for Non-members. Additional children in a family are $5 each for Members and $8 each for Non-members. The museum also offers a punch card option for Members who attend regularly: a 5-class punch card is $30 or 2 cards for $55. Wee Ones Wednesdays are generously sponsored by Bank of New Hampshire.
Upcoming Wee Ones Wednesdays are on April 5th and 12thOn Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 3:30-5pm, there will be a “Wee-Union,” the third annual Wee Ones Reunion for any family who has ever participated in Wee Ones Wednesdays. The reunion will be free for all past and current Wee Ones participants (however Non-members who wish to play in the museum afterwards will need to pay museum admission).
