Prizes and Raffles In Store for 5K Participants
(Dover, NH – April 26, 2017) – Runners and Walkers will want to sign up for the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire’s 5K Road Race by May 1st to get a chance to win Philbrick’s Sports gift cards. The certified race, part of the Seacoast Road Race Series, will be held in downtown Dover on Saturday, May 6 at 9am.
Everyone who signs up by May 1st for the 5K will be entered to win three $100 gift cards to Philbrick’s Sports. Additionally, all kids who have signed up for the Kid-venture Course by May 1st, which is series of exhibit-themed challenges just for kids ages 1-12 happening in Henry Law Park at 10am, will be entered to win two $50 gift cards to Philbrick’s Sports. All Kid-venture Course participants will also receive a ribbon for participating and a t-shirt while supplies last.
“Philbrick’s Sports has also generously donated 4 gift baskets worth $50 each that we’ll be raffling off to the Kid-venture Course participants on the day of the race,” shared Neva Cole, CMNH Communications Director. In addition, the museum’s neighbor the Noggin Factory has donated raffle prizes, as has Dover’s Twice the Fun. “We also will be giving away a Twice the Fun gift card to the first stroller that crosses the 5K finish line, because that is a gigantic accomplishment that should be rewarded!”
Additional prizes for runners who place will be provided by Weathervane, Runner’s Alley and Philbrick’s Sports:

Overall Male & Female: Ten Lobster dinner gift cards
2ND PLACE PRIZES:
$20 Philbrick's Sports Gift Cards with $5 water bottle

3RD PLACE PRIZES:
$15 Runner's Alley Gift Cards

The 5K registration fee is $22 in advance and $25 on the day of the race. The Kid-venture Course registration fee is $8 in advance and $10 on the day of the race. Walk-up registration for the 5k will be available at The Children’s Museum on race day starting at 7:30am up until 15 minutes prior to the start of the 5k or Kid-venture Course. Also new this year, the museum invites participants to raise donations through CrowdRise. “You can sign up to fundraise as an individual or a as a team through CrowdRise and the fundraising team who raises the most money by May 5 will get to enjoy an exclusive VIP hospitality tent on race day, stocked with food, beverages and attendants!” shared Cole.
