On Friday, October 27 from 6:30-9:30 pm, Genevieve Aichele will offer Speak Up! Vocal Techniques for the Non-Performer. Students will learn simple techniques that professional performers depend on – including how to project your voice without straining, how to speak clearly and find your most powerful vocal tone, the art of breathing properly and controlling your resonance and intonation for maximum effect.  Tips for vocal health too!  Instructor Genevieve Aichele is an actor and storyteller who has performed around the United States for over 40 years, and has recorded audiobooks, podcasts and voiceovers.  She has taught public speaking at the University of New Hampshire and for numerous business clients throughout New England.

Long-time seacoast performer and vocal instructor Martha Gleason will offer True Voice Power on Saturday, October 28 from 9:30am-12:30 pm.  Martha holds a degree in Theatre Arts from UCLA, is a recipient of the prestigious Carol Burnett Music Theatre Awards in Los Angeles, the National Music Theatre Awards in San Francisco, and a national scholarship winner from the American Music and Dramatic Academy in NYC.  She is an accredited member of NATS, the National Association of Teachers of Singing.  Recent studies include the Estill Voice Model at New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and the CCM voice model at Shenandoah Conservatory in the Washington DC area.  In True Voice Power, students will learn anti-anxiety performance tools for singing under pressure, powerful centering and toning exercises, and Expert Voice Skills for more power and expanded range.

The culminating workshop for the Voice Intensive will be Voiceover & Voice Acting held on Saturday, October 28 from 2:00-5:00 pm.  This class will focus on basic fundamentals of microphone voiceover technique with emphasis on believability, personality, and connection. Participants will engage in a variety of exercises designed to help harness the uniqueness of their own voices, including vocal warm ups and placement, microphone technique, and working with ad and narrative text. All will have the chance to try practice their skills in front of a microphone. Instructor CJ Lewis is a well-known Seacoast theatre and multimedia artist, musician and arts educator who most recently played 40 different characters in the New Hampshire Theatre Project production of I Am My Own Wife.
