Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity to host Veterans Build in Rochester
Team Rubicon and UNH AF ROTC will join together for a day of giving back

Rochester, NH (November 7, 2017) - On Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., groups from Team Rubicon and the UNH AF ROTC will come out for a day of service and to swing hammers with Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity (SENH4H) at their new build site at 168 Four Rod in Rochester NH.  This commemorative event is open to the public.

Volunteers will spend the day continuing the construction of the Habitat home, which is a duplex slated for completion in spring of 2018. They will be treated to a light breakfast and coffee, as well as lunch donated by Moe’s Italian Sandwiches of Rochester NH.  SENH4H invites the community to come by the construction site, support our veterans, have a cup of coffee and learn more about how to get involved with Habitat for Humanity.

Marcie Bergan, Executive Director of SENH4H, talking about Habitat’s Veterans Builds said, “To all of the veterans men and women, thank you for keeping us safe.  And thank you to those who continue to give of themselves to help those less fortunate. Here we raise walls and a roof, but you raise the bar through your caring and doing. You are my heroes and the heroes of those who will live in these homes. Thank you for keeping our flag flying.“

Veterans Build is Habitat for Humanity’s national initiative to provide housing solutions and volunteer opportunities to U.S. veterans, military service members and their families. The program focuses on building affordable housing, engaging military members through volunteer opportunities, home ownership opportunities and honoring our local veterans.
