Celebrate fall at the beautiful Moffatt-Ladd House & Garden! Learn how families in the past prepared for cooler weather with an afternoon of hands-on seasonal activities. Sample freshly-pressed apple cider, help gather vegetables for the root cellar, mix ingredients to make a delicious pie, explore the house and garden, decorate a festive fall pumpkin to bring home, and find out how people in colonial America made their own clothing from plants! Located in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the Moffatt-Ladd House is an National Historic Landmark owned by the National Society of Colonial Dames and open to the public since 1912.
