Description
Producer Harry Cohn offered $1000 to anyone who could explain the plot to him. Who cares? This twisty, deeply misanthropic whodunit about a sailor who ends up accused of murder when he gets in over his head with a married couple features some of Welles’ best set pieces, including one of the most bravura climactic sequences in the history of film, and brilliant cinematography by Charles Lawton Jr.Part of The Music Hall Film Club.
