Mike Stockbridge is a guitarist, composer and music educator based in Concord, NH. He attended Berklee College of Music and the University of Maine. He performs regularly throughout New England with his trio and occasionally with a quartet or quintet.
Mike's guitar work has been featured on radio shows in France, Portugal, Macedonia, and other parts of Europe. Mike has performed and recorded with a diverse group of musicians including: Toshiko Akiyoshi, Alex Vittum, Steve Grover, Tony Gaboury, David Wells, Andy Rice, Dr. Frank Mauceri, Sunday Labor, Charles Toor, Brad Terry, Jonathan Lorentz, and Jared Steer,to name a few.
In 2009 he released his first full length, self-titled album as a bandleader which has been met with many positive reviews; proving that Mike Stockbridge is a uniquely fresh voice in the New England jazz scene.
An educator in high demand with over a decade of experience, Mike currently teaches multiple instruments at his own studio in North Conway, NH, the Manchester Music Mill in Manchester, NH and privately in Concord, NH. He has been affiliated with many great educational programs - most notably the Tony Boffa School of Contemporary Music located in Westbrook ME, and the National Guitar/Music Workshop in Litchfield CT. 2011 marks the release of Mike's 2nd album "Ama" which has been met with rave reviews.
