NHTP's 2014 Adult Summer Improv Workshops

Yes and??. ~ Monday, June 9, 6:30-9:00 pm
With this workshop we'll focus on the building block of improv work, saying ?yes.? Not just that, but also why that little ?and? can be so important. Short form improvisation techniques with a concentration on acceptance and escalation.


Playing the Game ~ Wednesday, June 11, 6:30-9:00 pm
Focusing on how discovering and establishing a game can bring life to a scene like nothing else. Using a few short form games and starting to dip our toes in the long form waters.

Creating Scenes and Characters ~ Monday June 16, 6:30-9:00 pm
How do you create a scene from nothing? Exploring character depth, relationships, and the use of environment on stage through partner and group scenes.
 
Make it Weird ~ Wednesday June 18, 6:30-9:00 pm
You know the basics, now let's get weird. Strategies for heightening scenes, making bold choices, and creating memorable moments. Go beyond the basics in a fun and safe environment!
