If you want to make your own electronic circuits, you need to know how to solder. If you want to make a simple flashy light, you need to solder. If you want to make a fireworks control board, you need to solder. If you want to make a power supply, you need to solder. If you want to make a robot, well, you can get kits with lots of cables and plugin things, but if you want it to look nice and neat you solder it!
In this class you will solder together two simple light-up kits. One is a badge that you can wear to declare to others your soldering prowess, and the other is a bug-shaped light that only turns on in the dark. Spoooky. Or comforting if you like red night-lights.
