Description
109th anniversary of the signing of the Portsmouth Peace Treaty at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Ending World War Zero -- the Russo-Japanese War -- the day is commemorated by NH Governor's Proclamation statewide. At 3:47 pm when the Treaty was signed, bells ring at churches, schools and other historical sites throughout Portsmouth and beyond.
