The Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra’s (PSO) will perform their annual Family Holiday Pops concert on December 18 & 19 at 7:30pm at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH. This year, both performances will feature the combined choruses of Portsmouth High School and York High School. York HS will perform a solo set on Tuesday, 12/18, and Portsmouth HS will perform a solo set on Wednesday, 12/19. Audiences will be delighted by some old favorites like Sleigh Ride, featuring a guest conductor, the Holly Jolly Sing-Along, Hanukkah Festival Overture and By the Beautiful Blue Danube. As a special treat, PSO Artist-in-residence Billy Butler is bringing 12-year-old Carly Gendell up from NYC where she is enjoying a career on Broadway. She will be singing one of his original songs from his musical Missing: Wynter, as well as a Tori Amos song. Tickets for the Family Holiday Pops concerts are $30 for general admission, $25 for seniors (65 and over) and $15 for student (college age and under).
