8 ½ is often considered among Federico Fellini’s best, and most personal, films - indeed among the best films of all time. Composer Giovanni “Nino” Rota was born into a musical family in Milan. A renowned child prodigy, he wrote his first oratorio at age 11, which was performed in both Milan and Paris. Part of The Music Hall Film Club.
