The Assembly Support Technician will assist assembly supervisors and coordinator with the day to day production needs and maintenance. Maintain fixtures and tools on all assembly lines as well as help maintain 5S on the floor. Work with manufacturing engineering to implement new gages and fixtures.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
*Upkeep of assembly tooling and fixture maintenance and repairs
*Tasked with stocking the Guhring assembly tool inventory.
*5S maintenance and upkeep for the assembly department.
*Complete odd jobs to assist assembly process and flow.
*Assist with assembly line maintenance and line setup/ line changes.
*Assisting with build on any assembly line when needed.
*General knowledge/maintenance of auto gages and presses.
*Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
*Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs
*Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
*Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
*Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, sketches and blueprints.
*Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
*Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one, small group situations, or employees of the organization.
*Ability to work in a fast paced environment, multi task, and adapt quickly to change.
*Ability to work with a High Attention to detail
*Ability to work safely in a variety of situations, follow rules and established processes
Education & Experience:
*High School Diploma or equivalent Engineering Education is a plus.
*3 years of previous work experience in assembly
*Demonstrated working knowledge of assembly line structure in order to properly identify maintenance tasks.
*Demonstrated working knowledge Assembly fixtures and Equipment, Tools, Gauges.
*Able to lift up to 25 pounds
*Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
