All Things Bright and Beautiful’—Paintings of Barbara Barclay at NHAA’s Levy gallery during October

PORTSMOUTH – The paintings of New Hampshire Art Association artist Barbara Barclay will be shown in an exhibit titled, “All Things Bright and Beautiful,” during the month of October at the Association’s Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery.
Barclay is a professional New England artist who grew up in Massachusetts and now resides in Salem, New Hampshire.
She works in pastels, oils, watercolors and more recently in encaustic wax painting.
“I enjoy painting marshes, the ocean, inland streams and trails, flowers and children,” Barclay said. “I enjoy the challenge of expressing the beauty that is all around. Painting is my passion.”
Barclay studied at Montserrat College of Art and the Manchester Institute of Art. A juried member of several art associations in New England, Barclay’s work has received numerous first place and best in show awards, including the Hunkins Award from the Haverhill Art Association. Her work has also been recognized by the New England Watercolor Society.
Visitors to the gallery are currently being asked to wear a mask due to the prevalence of COVID-19. However, if visitors are more comfortable setting up a time to view the exhibit by appointment outside of gallery hours, they can call 603-431-4230.

Gallery hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sundays from 12 to 5 p.m.
SHOWN: “Low Tide at The Marsh,” a pastel painting by Barbara Barclay, will be on display at the Robert Lincoln Gallery, during October.
