PORTSMOUTH – Start your autumn off on the right foot with some sensational work by members of the New Hampshire Art Association at the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery on State Street.
The theme for the September show is “Circle of Life.” From germinating seeds to multi-generational portraiture, this theme evokes images of cycles and metamorphosis from all walks of life.
Artists interpreted the theme in many ways, such as scientific views of cells under a microscope; or drawing from art history with Dutch still lifes of decaying food; or coastal imagery of tide pools which can be whole microcosms of life.
NHAA is following the city of Portsmouth's guidelines that masks are not required for those who have been vaccinated, however if visitors are more comfortable setting up a time to view the exhibit by appointment outside of gallery hours, they can call (603) 431-4230 to set up a time.
