If The Shoe Fits -Watercolors by Susan Peterson at NHAA Gallery
“If the Shoe Fits” is a suite of watercolor paintings by New Hampshire Art Association artist Susan Peterson depicting footwear, or the lack there of, on display during the month of October at the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery.
Peterson’s paintings depict how we dress our feet “up” or “down” as they take us through our daily lives of work and play. Peterson is realistic in her approach to thesubject and its surrounding space, although she occasionally juxtaposed the latter in a non-traditional way.
Peterson is a native of New Hampshire. She has a BA in art education from Rivier University, plus individual studies with various artists who have inspired her.
Peterson’s art has been in galleries throughout New England. She has a studio in her home and often paints with other artists in the area. She enjoys traveling with family and friends. Her travels inspire her art and her ability to see beauty in all places.
