New Women’s Health & Wellness Center Opens at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Portsmouth Outpatient Center
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is pleased to announce that Nancy Blatt, DO, a board-certified family medicine physician, and Michelle Ciarlo, MD, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, have joined Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s new Center for Women’s Health & Wellness, located at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s new Portsmouth Outpatient Center at the Pease Tradeport.
The Center for Women’s Health & Wellness offers a new model for women’s healthcare for Seacoast women. The center brings together expert primary care and OB/GYN physicians, midwives, and women-focused specialists, including cardiology and sports medicine (coming in June), along with nurse navigators to help women manage all aspects of their care.
Dr. Blatt has more than 15 years of clinical practice experience including acute and chronic care. Dr. Blatt received her undergraduate degree at San Diego State University and her medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a family medicine residency at the University Hospitals of Cleveland. She has additional training and interest in integrative medicine, lifestyle medicine, obesity medicine, and mind-body medicine. She will follow an individualized, whole health approach to patient care.
Dr. Ciarlo completed her undergraduate degree at Stonehill College and her medical training at Ross University School of Medicine. She continued her training at Saint Peter’s University Hospital’s Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Program where she served as Chief Administrative Resident before joining Rochester Obstetrics and Gynecology in Rochester, N.H.
Dr. Ciarlo finds delivering babies one of the most rewarding aspects of her career and enjoys caring for women during various stages of adulthood. She is also experienced in high-risk obstetrics, major and minimally invasive surgery, infertility treatments, and menopause care. Dr. Ciarlo is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Drs. Blatt and Ciarlo both live locally on the Seacoast with their spouses and children. Dr. Blatt enjoys reading, physical activity, and spending time with her family. Her children keep her busy with extracurricular activities like horseback riding and hockey. Dr. Ciarlo enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, skiing, and having fun with her family which includes two young children and chocolate Labrador Retrievers, Bella and Bailey.
