Portsmouth City Clerk opens Voting Center in City Hall, Oct. 5 through Nov. 2
PORTSMOUTH—The Portsmouth Voting Center in the Eileen Dondero Foley Council Chambers in City Hall opens on Monday, Oct. 5.
The hours of operation for the Voting Center are the same hours as City Hall:
- Monday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. [not open Columbus Day, Oct. 12].
- Tuesday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Friday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Voting Center allows residents to take advantage of the following services offered by the City Clerk’s Office:
- Voter registration
- Obtain Absentee Ballot
- Return Absentee Ballot
Anyone who is a “delivery agent” returning an absentee ballot will be required to show picture identification and complete a form.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Center cannot accommodate voting within the City Hall Municipal Complex.
The City Clerk’s Office staff will also be available outside of City Hall on Saturday Oct. 10, Oct. 17, Oct. 24 and Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to noon, to collect absentee ballots (only from voters who are returning their own ballots.)
