  • Tickets Now on Sale for the 33rd Vintage & Vine—fine wine and food festival benefiting Strawbery Banke Museum

    PORTSMOUTH—Strawbery Banke announces the return of Vintage & Vine, the largest annual fundraiser for the Museum, to occur on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. The event, which occurs outdoors throughout the Museum’s 10-acre site, heirloom gardens, and historic landscapes offers guests the opportunity to sample an extensive selection of fine wines as well as imaginative cuisine prepared by Greater Seacoast-area top chefs and caterers. Tickets are now on sale at StrawberyBanke.org/events/vintage-and-vine.cfm 

    General admission opens at 5 p.m. and tickets are $75 per person (designated driver general admission tickets are $25). VIP tickets, which are sold out, allow guests to enter at 4 PM and circulate the entire site as well as the designated VIP tent. The event comes to a close at 7:30 p.m. Strawbery Banke Museum Members receive a $20 discount off tickets.

    This year's event is expected to sell out and advanced ticket purchase is strongly recommended.

    “Strawbery Banke is delighted to welcome members and visitors to gather safely at the Museum for the 33rd annual Vintage & Vine,” said Lawrence J. Yerdon, president and CEO. “The health and safety of visitors and staff is still the utmost priority and the outdoor event adheres to state and local guidelines regarding COVID-19. Additionally, Strawbery Banke hopes that all guests will have taken advantage of the vaccination opportunities in their community and are fully vaccinated for the event.

    Vintage & Vine emphasizes local sourcing, local chefs, and the best locally available wines. The event features the following components:

          4 to 7:30 p.m.: VIP Grand Reserve Tasting. Sample an array of higher-end wines paired with delectable hors d’oeuvres under the exclusive VIP Reserve Tent.
     

          5 to 7:30 p.m.: General Admission Grand Tasting. Stroll amongst the museum’s historic houses and gardens, while enjoying appetizers prepared by top chefs and sampling wines offered by local wine brokers.
     

          4 to 6:30 p.m.: Mini Wine Auction

     

          4 to 7:30 p.m.: Kick-off for the Vintage & Vine Online Auction. Bid through the online platform on gift cards, home goods, great escapes, beauty products, health and fitness packages, and more through October 10.

     

    Proceeds from Vintage & Vine ticket sales, raffles, an in-person mini wine auction, and the online auction that occurs Sept. 10 through Oct. 10, directly support Strawbery Banke’s preservation and education programs.
     

    “Vintage & Vine historically occurs on the second Saturday in September,'' said Robyn Aldo, Vintage & Vine Event Chair and Strawbery Banke Trustee. “Acknowledging that this year’s event falls on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks and the enormous challenges of the pandemic, the Vintage & Vine event committee and the Strawbery Banke Museum Board of Trustees are offering all First Responders who purchase tickets and attend this year’s event, a complimentary individual one-year membership.”
