  • Say hello to stream.life! and The Week Ahead

    Hello!

    Welcome to The Week Ahead.

This week we’re zooming about five weeks ahead, to make sure you receive your invite to stream.life! , the Chamber Collaborative’s opportunity to thank our members and laud our business community with the Best of Business Awards. Virtually — you’ll be given the opportunity to network prior to the event and then watch and participate in the program. Master of Ceremonies Joanna “Jo” Kelley will guide you through the awards and special guests will pop in for quick visits. We are delighted to have her!

Please save your seat at the Chamber’s biggest (and most fun) fundraiser today!

    Thursday, 9/24, 5 to 6:30 p.m. stream.life! For the love of Portsmouth

    REGISTER

Your admission donation to the Chamber Collaborative includes things we all can't get enough of during this time of separation -- networking, excitement, awards, and community connection.

Without giving too much away -- we'll be using a top-notch new online platform called Remo — short for remote — complete with virtual tables you'll want to reserve your seat at NOW.
Rest assured — this is not your average Zoom event! We'll be taking things up a notch with a hybrid program (sound familiar parents?) of pre-recorded and LIVE action footage as we celebrate:

    • Big Business of the Year
    • Small but Mighty Business of the Year
    • Collaborator of the Year
    • Volunteer of the Year
    • Pandemic Powerhouse

Please plan now to spend Thursday, Sept. 24 from 5 to 6:30 with us as we use remote technology to bring us together!

And yes -- sponsorships are available for stream.life! Contact Ben VanCamp at ben@portsmouthcollaborative.org or call (603) 610-5516.

This week collaborate with us on Zoom. Our agenda includes the following:

    Wednesday, 8/26, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. - Online: Let's Talk Retail - Fall & Winter

    REGISTER

Many of you have worked tirelessly to get your shops out open this summer, converting many areas and doing your part to ensure it's safe.

Thankfully, Mother Nature has been good to us, but it IS New England, and we know the weather will change...

Two concerns we need to deal with:  How do we make our indoor spaces safe for our staff and customers, and how do we build consumer confidence to feel comfortable to come indoors?

We need your input.  Please join us to discuss the possibility of a re-imagined shopping environment before we move inside, and what YOU need to be successful over the November through March months (assuming that 100% capacity will not be restored).

    Thursday, 8/27, 8 to 9 a.m. - Online: Connect & Collaborate 2

Returning to School in Portsmouth and at Great Bay Community College

Join us for our interactive Zoom meetings with Chamber Collaborative President Valerie Rochon, (NOTE new schedule) monthly on the second and fourth Fridays at 1 p.m.  Local, state, and regional guests join us to provide updates, answer questions, and hear concerns. Let us know who YOU want to hear from each week.

On Friday, Aug. 28, we'll welcome Steve Zadravec, Portsmouth Superintendent of Schools, and George Shea, Assistant Superintendent, along with Sean Clancy, AVP at Great Bay Community College.  We last spoke with this group back in April when they were making decisions about whether to keep schools open or go remote.
