An emotionally powerful and intimate two-person musical by Jason Robert Brown about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years, the show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy telling her story backwards while Jamie tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.
Starring Raquel Jennings and Shaina Schwartz.

The Bus Stop centers around the lives of five black women who although are very different, each have one thing in common, a loved one who is incarcerated. Although these women have varying backgrounds, meeting at the bus stop and forming a relationship with each other changes their lives forever. The effects that incarceration has on the black community are not a foreign concept for the playwright, as his own father was incarcerated for the majority of his childhood.

Many people have not seen previous announcements about the remainder of our season, so we are putting this here as a reminder.
In order to keep our staff, performers, and patrons safe, we have had to change the titles for the remainder of our season. We are not in a position to rehearse shows with large cast sizes yet, so we have had to replace them with different titles with smaller cast sizes.
In an attempt to keep our performers as safe as possible, we are producing these titles "in-rep", which means we have several different shows playing during the weekend. Right now we are in our summer block, and we have opened The Bus Stop, The Last Five Years, and this weekend we open The Roar of the Greasepaint - The Smell of the Crowd. These shows will run throughout the summer and we will introduce our fall and winter blocks soon.
If you are holding tickets to any previously canceled shows or to any fall or winter titles that have been changed, please contact the box office and let them know your preference. Here are your options:
    • Transfer your tickets into any of our current or upcoming productions. We are offering live performances and livestreamed options for most of our titles. We truly hope you chose this option as we love our audiences and attendance has been light.
    • Transfer your tickets into a donation
    • Transfer your tickets into a gift card that never expires
    • Request a refund. This will be hard on us, as we have lost $450,000 in revenues, have not received Federal or State relief yet, and are just barely keeping our head above water. If a refund is your only option, please be patient as it may take a few months to process.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our box office. They can be reached at tickets@seacoastrep.org.
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and support!
