  • Portsmouth Porchfest Debuts: A Free Music Festival Uniting the Community on Sept. 21

PORTSMOUTH—Porchfest is coming to Portsmouth for the very first time on Saturday, Sept. 21 from noon to 4 p.m.! Portsmouth Porchfest is a free, grassroots music festival that takes place in the local neighborhoods in the West and South End of Portsmouth.

Inspired by the infamous Somerville Porchfest, Portsmouth will be crafting its own vision and bringing dozens of musicians who will perform on porches, backyards and driveways of our homes. This year will host 30 bands at more than a dozen locations, showcasing a diverse array of local musicians performing in all genres from indie rock, to classical guitar, marimba groups to jazz ensembles, all with the spirit of uniting our community in a shared love of music.

Portsmouth Porchfest is being organized and hosted by a small community of friends, whose mission is to strengthen connections between neighbors and foster a broader community that is empowered, inspired and transformed by music. Join us! Saturday, Sept. 21, noon to 4 p.m. and find Portsmouth Porchfest on Instagram and Facebook @portsmouthporchfest.
