  • Stonewall Kitchen Expands Footprint into California with new Cooking School and Café in California

    YORK, Maine  – Award-winning specialty food producer Stonewall Kitchen has opened its first retail locations on the West Coast with a new Stonewall Kitchen Cooking School and Café in the Macy’s South Coast Plaza location in Costa Mesa, California. A grand opening is scheduled for Wednesday, November 28th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., featuring a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Orange County Chamber of Commerce.
    The Café will feature the same classic New England fare made famous at Stonewall Kitchen’s flagship York, Maine, location, such as the best-selling Lobster B.L.T. Sandwich, New England Clam Chowder, and the Haddock Sandwich with Downeast Tartar Sauce. Kid favorites like the award-winning Café Burger or the Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich made with Stonewall Kitchen Wild Maine Blueberry Jam will also be featured.
    The Cooking School will offer a variety of demonstration classes for lunch and dinner with chef instructors similar to those taught at the York, Maine location. Sample classes will include the New England Indoor Clam Bake, East Coast Meets West Coast, and Brunchtime Delights, along with an annual celebration of Julia Child and other special events. With 24 seats available, the classes will be perfect for a delicious lunch, date night, or girls’ night out.

The launch of our new Cooking School and Café inside their Costa Mesa location represents a logical and exciting evolution of our relationship, as we both look to create interesting and interactive retail experiences for our guests that can’t be found anywhere else.”

We’re replicating the classic Stonewall Kitchen experience not only by offering the same menu and cooking classes, but also by focusing on the details that make the experience so special, such as lobsters from Maine, New England wooden bead board fixtures, and large screen TVs in the Cooking School so that you are sure to see all of the fine handwork being done no matter where you are sitting.
