Description
The Immigrant Garden returns! ACT ONE is thrilled to share with theatre patrons this stunning new work ~ the story of an English garden and the hearts that grew it, told in letters by gifted playwright, poet, and novelist, Caroline Wood.
We premiered The Immigrant Garden at our Spring into Summer Event in June, playing to full houses and receiving standing ovations and heartfelt praise from audience members. We invite you to join us at the West End Studio Theatre for this very special theatre event.
It's 1910 and Miss Cecily Barnes is passionate about having a flower garden. She finds a catalogue from "Mrs. Beauchamp's Mystical Flower Seed and Herb Emporium" and sends off to England for seeds. Thus begins a joyous exchange of letters between young Cecily and Louise Beauchamp that blossoms into a friendship transcending time and oceans. The Immigrant Garden is a journey of love and self-discovery - and a story you will long remember!
Performances: Sep 29, 30, Oct 6 - 7:30 and Oct 7, 8 - 2:00. Tickets available online at actonenh.org or call 603.300.2986 to reserve and pay at the door.
