Alnoba Art Park is announcing June, July, and August dates for guided tours of the park! Alnoba Are Park is thrilled with the response to the launch of the Art Park. Most of the May 1st and 2nd tours are completely sold out. Building this collection has been an exciting journey and labor of love for them. They are delighted to share it with friends and neighbors.
The collection is international and eclectic. It includes masterworks by Andy Goldsworthy, Orly Genger, Jaume Plensa, John Lopez, Allan Houser, and Ursula von Rydingsvard. Some pieces come from their travels, others from chance encounters with the artist and some were sought out after reading their story. Each piece was chosen because it makes them feel something… joy, sadness, discomfort or calm. Many represent themes of social justice and sustainability. They believe they all experience art in a different own way and hope that the Art Park opens art up to more people of all ages to feel it for themselves!
With the spring thaw, comes new installations! Alnoba Art Park is very pleased to announce that 3 new pieces will be added to the collection this season with more on the way. New works include Jaume Plensa (Spain) Nuria and Irma, 2007–2010, Joseph Wheelwright (Dorchester, MA) Smoke Jumper, 2010, and Guy du Toit (South Africa) Boxing Hares, 2017.
