Architect Todd Hanson dedicates his career to gaining and applying experiential research to increase empathy and understanding of the needs of individuals with physical and emotional challenges. A former competitive distance runner, kayaker, skier and backpacker, Todd now lives with a degenerative neuromuscular disease leaving him unable to walk or speak. Founder of Access Navigators, an American-based nonprofit organization that advocates for people impacted by disabilities, Todd passionately shares his insights and experiences to better our communities and society as a whole. He is a principal at JSA Design in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects.
Danielle Heaton, Founding Director, Twent-One Senses
Danielle is the Founding Director at Twenty-One Senses, a nonprofit focused on advancing inclusion for children with invisible disabilities. With over fifteen years of digital marketing experience in the education industry, Danielle's greatest strength is understanding complicated concepts and translating the information into a digestible and relatable fashion. As the mother of two amazing neurodiverse kiddos, she has over two decades of experience navigating the medical, educational and social systems. Danielle is passionate about creating a strong community of families, businesses, civic organiations and schools that are educated and supportive of all individuals who experience the world in their own way. This emphasis on empathy, inclusion and support is central to all aspects of Danielle’s life. When Danielle is not focused on Twenty-One Senses, she can be found outside with her husband, two kids and dog or actively volunteering in the community with various youth organizations.
Mike Moloney, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development & Training Manager, Kennebunk Savings
Mike Moloney started his banking career 32 years ago, having earned a degree in Anthropology from the University of Southern Maine. Mike has worked at Kennebunk Savings for 25 years, spending 18 years as a Branch Manager before moving into the Training Manager role. Mike spends a considerable amount of his time developing and delivering training programs that have a direct impact on the mental health and well-being of his colleagues, and the culture of the organization. The bank has a robust Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Program, understanding that employees from diverse backgrounds can face lack of representation, microagressions, unconscious bias, and other stressors that impact their mental health and psychological safety at work. Mike is also a member of the York County Elder Abuse Task Force, where he works to educate people about the impact of elder abuse on the senior population. When not at work Mike loves kayaking, and is a Staff Officer and Paddlecraft Safety Team Coordinator for the US Coast Guard Auxiliary in South Portland.
Nicole Seaward - Board Chair, President & Music Director of WSCA 106.1 FM, Portsmouth Community Radio
Nicole combines her educational background with personal experiences as an Autistic person to aid business leaders in culture change. She is an advocate who participates in panel discussions, mentors Autistic people and supports disabled job seekers. Nicole is an expert on leadership development, change management, accommodations, and the successful inclusion of neurodivergent people in the workplace. She focuses on improving well-being and leadership by communicating how it impacts job satisfaction, engagement, and productivity. Nicole is skilled in performing job analyses, job descriptions, organizational process mapping, and creating multi-learner documents and training that increase engagement and productivity. Nicole is a certified LinkedIn Instructor and a member of the Asperger Autism Network (AANE) Speakers' Bureau. Nicole holds a Master's of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Anne Weidman, JSA Design, Access Navigators
Co-founder of Access Navigators, an American nonprofit organization that advocates for people impacted by disabilities, Anne works directly with city officials, business owners and tourism leaders to help them understand how accessibility can be a strong economic driver in their communities. She meets with people and organizations across New England to elevate awareness of community accessibility and facilitates graduate level accessibility projects at the University of New Hampshire and Salem State University in Massachusetts. Anne is director of business development at JSA Design in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and an active volunteer in her community.
