Dinner & Auction for Child Abuse Prev...
Description
Attend, eat delicious food and get a deal on unique products, exciting date nights and exquisite vacation rentals. In 2015, the sisters raised about $25,000 to distribute to NH Children's Trust and Prevent Child Abuse America! How generous will the donors be this year? Join us to find out and be a part of a class-act evening for a worthy cause - children. For the fifth year in a row, the University of New Hampshire Alpha Sigma chapter of Kappa Delta sorority will host a dinner and auction to fundraise for NH Children's Trust and Prevent Child Abuse America. From gathering donations and sponsors, to assigning public relations tasks and outreach, about 140 sorority sisters work diligently to raise funds and organize the dinner and auction. As a national organization, the Kappa Deltas support Prevent Child Abuse America as one of their platforms of service. Each year, the event is hosted in March, leading into National Child Abuse Prevention Month in April. Some popular items up for bid this year include a trip to Costa Rica, lift tickets at Bretton Woods, a handmade granite bird bath, season passes to the Seacoast Repertory Theatre, gift cards to restaurants all over the state and much more. A buffet dinner is included in your ticket price and will include the following: Appetizer: Mixed Greens Salad Dinner Options: Stuffed Sole Veronique; Chicken Picatta; Sliced Hanger Steak au Poivre, Zucchini and Summer Squash Italian Style; Potato Au Gratin Dessert: Ice Cream with Hot Fudge Our board of directors and staff invite you to a pre-auction cocktail party (cash bar) sponsored by NH Children's Trust at The Regatta Room, in a separate space from the dinner and auction. We hope to meet the evening's donors and attendees to explain what your donated funds will be used for, and put a face to the action of preventing child abuse and neglect. We're happy to answer any questions you may have about our agency and what we do.
