    Description

In this one-day workshop for advanced or professional sculptors, use the gardens, rose arbor, and ornate rococo interior carvings at Langdon House as inspiration to sculpt a low- or bas-relief that will finish as a mandala. Mandalas are elaborate, inwardly focused designs that function as aids to meditation. They are shaped to be a (roughly) circular form inside a square. They typically contain both geometric and naturalistic elements. The class includes an hour break for lunch, and will allow enough time to create a mandala of meaning, symmetry, and beauty.
