On Thursday, July 24 at 7 p.m., award-winning author Ben Shattuck visits The Music Hall Lounge with his book, THE HISTORY OF SOUND. Recently adapted into a motion picture starring Paul Mescal (Normal People) and Josh O’Connor (Challengers), THE HISTORY OF SOUND is a collection that expertly explores grief, love, and the unexpected ways the past influences the present.

The 7 p.m. event includes an author conversation with Ian Aldrich, Executive Editor of Yankee magazine. There will also be an audience Q&A, followed by a post-show meet-and-greet. It will be held at The Music Hall Lounge at 131 Congress St., Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
