Praised as a great clarinetist and all-around improviser by the New York Times, Israeli-American Oran Etkin makes his Portsmouth debut. Like the legendary Benny Goodman, Etkin grew up in a Jewish immigrant home, influenced from an early age by Louis Armstrong and the musical freedom he embodied.
