Caity Gyorgy (pronounced George) is a three-time JUNO Award-winning Canadian jazz vocalist known for her swinging phrasing and bebop-infused sound. Praised by DownBeat Magazine for writing “originals that sound as if they are from the 1950s with more modern lyrics,” she brings a fresh voice to classic styles. She has performed at major festivals across Canada and internationally at venues like Tokyo’s Cotton Club and the Tucson Jazz Festival, and collaborated with artists including Christine Jensen, Jocelyn Gould, and Ira Coleman. Signed to La Reserve Records, Gyorgy has released five albums, including Hello! How Are You?, winner of the 2025 JUNO for Best Jazz Album. Also an award-winning songwriter (John Lennon Songwriting Contest, 2021), Caity’s compositions are sung around the world. Offstage, she’s a dedicated educator and uses her strong social media following to connect with young jazz fans globally. Her newest album Asking For Trouble, celebrates the music of Frank Loesser.
