The Band: Seba Molnar - Sax José Soto - Keys Mike Gary - Bass Héctor Guzmán - Drums Seba Molnar is an award-winning saxophonist, composer, and educator, based out of Boston, Massachusetts. Originally from Canton, New York, Seba moved to Boston in 2012 to attend the Berklee College of Music. While at Berklee, Seba had the opportunity to study with world-renowned saxophonists George Garzone, Bill Pierce, and Tia Fuller.
Seba has made a name for himself as an in demand saxophonist both as a side man and leading his own groups. Seba has shared stages and with Grammy and Emmy Winning/Nominated artist like Ghost-note, Braxton Cook, Makaya McCraven, Patrice Rushen, Debo Ray, Charles Haynes, George Garzone, as well as Mighty Mystic, Java Jukebox, Kat Wright and many more. Seba frequently plays in Boston and tours around the greater New England area.
Seba has also played a number of international shows and festivals like Charles River Jazz Fest, Boston Jazz Fest, BAM’S Fest, Newton Festival of the Arts, First Night Boston and the Burlington Discover Jazz Fest. Seba’s music is deeply rooted in jazz, yet his innovative spirit and collaborative nature drives him to explore diverse genres and new sounds. His debut album Level Up was released in 2020, featuring mentor George Garzone.
On November 5th 2024 He Released J.F.R. which explores the complexities of the current social and political climate through a mix of improvisation, poetry, and samples to craft a unique and multi-dimensional experience. In addition to his musical talents, Seba is also the founder and executive director for the Charles River Jazz Festival and nonprofit the Boston Jazz Foundation. Which seeks to bring new life to the Boston Jazz scene through educational workshops, scholarships, and performance opportunities. Seba is dedicated to preserving the tradition of the music while at the same time promoting a new generation of music, art, and culture.
