Of the Trees is Tyler Coombs; electronic music producer hailing from Portland, ME. Melding strong influences from hip hop, ambient, and dance music to create emotive soundscapes laden with everything from jazzy piano arrangements to polyrhythmic rhythm changes not commonly heard in club-friendly music. To date, he has released two well-received EPs with Austin, TX based label Gravitas Recordings, with a third release on the way. He has had the honor of being direct support for artists like DJ Shadow, RJD2, and STS9, as well as performing at festivals across the country and Alex Grey's Chapel of Sacred Mirrors.
Zoo Logic
Austin Rogers and Jeff Blair (Producers, Composers, and Performers) of Zoo Logic combine future bass with cosmic rhythms for a bold explosion of ear candy. Audiences will find themselves on a roller coaster ride of emotional escapades, largely due to their musical versatility and willingness to experiment.
Malakai is the musical vision of Colorado/New York based producer and guitarist, Malakai Linden. His music draws on many influences and strives to bridge the gap between electronic and acoustic styles, incorporating the sounds of real instruments into beautiful electronic beats. Malakai's live show includes beats mixed with live guitar and other instrumentation. He began producing music in 2011 at the age of 17 under the guidance of acclaimed producer Derek VanScoten.
He now studies Music Technology and Sound Engineering at New York University in New York City. Since 2011, Malakai has made three releases including a 6-track EP (Looking from the Ground, Up), an 11-track LP (Reflections of Night and Day) and an 8-track remix compilation (Reflections of Reflections: Remixes). Currently, Malakai is working on a new record as well as a multimedia art installation to come out later in 2013.
At only 19, he's already been ask to play with talented electronic artists such as The Polish Ambassador, Random Rab, David Murphy of STS9, and A.M. Architect.
