Description
Pickwick's Mercantile and Fezziwig's Food & Fountain are pleased to present A Feast for the Senses, a sumptuous evening and immersive journey through scent and flavor.
Join the curious family Pickwick on February 10th at six and eight o’clock evening seatings, as they guide you through a four-course winter feast inspired by the most mysterious sense. Each plate will be paired with an exquisite perfume that both complements the meal and presents a story of its own. Indulge in the fruits of two ancient art forms at once, the Chef and the Perfumer together as muses, and learn about the history of fragrance and the myriad notes that make up those scents and flavors that are a persistent echo of memory. With their reservation, guests will also enjoy live classical piano, wine service, a perfumed lagniappe, and a special gift to be used at the renowned Pickwick’s Mercantile fragrance bar. This event is an ideal evening out for the Valentine couple or any art-addled romantic.
Pickwick’s Mercantile is committed to providing unique experiences and spaces with which guests can engage deeply and depart transformed. Through the imagination of the Pickwick’s team, travel through time to learn about how taste and scent intertwine to create memory. Fezziwig’s Food & Fountain is a whimsical brasserie, café, and old-fashioned soda fountain located at 112 State Street, and is the most recent addition to the Pickwick’s family of experiences. Now, the creative and culinary teams have come together to present a memorable evening that will impart a deeper understanding of flavor and fragrance to their guests.
“Our shopkeepers will tell you that one of our favorite things to do is take a guest on a scent journey at the Mercantile perfume bar. Scent sparks memory in a truly unique way and it is such a joy to provide a doorway into this remarkable art form for our visitors.” says Pickwick’s Director of Marketing, Thistle Jones. “At Fezziwig’s, we are always striving to both excite the palate and delight the eye. This dinner is an opportunity to celebrate the senses that both confound and enchant us. We are so excited for our guests to see what we have prepared for them!”
