Description

Portsmouth's Holiday Parade starts in Market Square with holiday music from the middle school band at 5:00pm followed by the annual tree lighting ceremony at 5:30pm. At 6:00pm the parade kicks off at Plaza 1800 (Hannafords) and makes its way down Islington Street to Congress Street and through Market Square. It turns down Pleasant Street and end at Parrott Ave. Everyone is welcome to celebrate the holiday season with a family friendly parade through the streets of downtown Portsmouth. All floats are illuminated for a magical holiday experience.
Spectators and participants are encouraged to being non-perishable food items to be collected during the parade. All donations support the local food pantries.
